Case Studies

Real training sessions with horses training in our barn. These videos follow full journeys — from behavioural challenges to young horse starts and complex veterinary cases. You’ll see how we apply our training approach in practice, with honest, day-to-day footage showing the process, progress, and problem-solving behind each horse’s development.

CASE STUDIES

Harley

Harley first came to us for a one-day clinic, but it was clear he needed more time. We follow him over the course of a week as he learns to let go of tension and explore a different way of relating to his environment. Highly anxious and defensive, Harley arrived tense, biting, and barging — easily overwhelmed by pressure or novelty. Our focus was on building safety, changing his perception of pressure, and teaching him how to find softness and clarity. As he begins to settle, we introduce him to more structured handling and even loading practice, laying the foundations for a calmer, more responsive horse.

Rod

Rod is a young horse, not yet three years old, who arrived at the barn having already passed through five homes in two years. His early experiences left him suspicious of people and disconnected from handling. His time with us is focused on the absolute basics — helping him find softness in the halter, accept touch without fear, and begin to understand the world as a safer, more consistent place. His story is one of patience, presence, and giving a young horse the chance to reset after a tough start.

CASE STUDIES

Dico

Dico arrived after a difficult chapter — a history of veterinary work, lingering tension, and behaviour that had earned him a reputation as dangerous. His owner made the brave choice to start again. Not with quick fixes or control, but with a full reset: checking for pain, reassessing his body, and then carefully rebuilding his confidence and trust from the ground up.

This case study follows Dico’s journey as we peel back the layers of tension and fear, and help him find softness, strength, and security again. It’s about letting go of the past — for both horse and human — and building a new way forward together.
